Ingredients :

250 Gr. Sugar
250 Gr. Butter
150 Gr. Chocolate Couverture
220 Gr. All Purpose Flour
50 Gr. Potato Flour
4-5 Eggs
� tsp Yeast Powder

How To Make Chef�s Own Black Forest Cake 

Procedure how to make Chef�s Own Black Forest Cake  :


  1. melt the chocolate and the butter, add sugar and whip until smooth
  2. add all Eggs slowly. Once the product is whipped add Flour , Potato Flour, Cocoa and Yeast Powder (  all well sifted )
  3. Pour into the proper containers (greased and dusted with flour) and bake at a Temperature of approx. 160C for 20 � 30 minutes.
  4. Next day cut the sponge horizontally in layers  of about 1cm thickness .
  5. soak each layer with Kirschwasser and spread with red Currant Jelly
  6. Through a piping bag apply the Whipped Cream and Sour Cherries onto each Layer except the top one as shown at the Demonstration.
  7. decorate the Cake with Whipped Cream all around and garnish with shaved Chocolate and Cherries as shown at the Demonstration.
